About

Truthopia is my world. In it decisions and truths, rights and wrongs, reals and unreals are decided by solid inquiry. I make this a public blog rather than a personal journal because I want to know what other people think about these issues. This is Truthopia,  it is how it progresses, and how it advances.

I am a philosopher by training but a mystic at heart,  something that will become apparent, I anticipate, as blogging gets under way. With any help from the Muses, we may come to some conclusions that exceed the sum of the parts we supply.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks to wordpress.

    Dear Angelo,
Could you please let me know the origin of the drawing of OH 13 “Cinderella” that you included in your blog “I. SCIENCE H. Origin of Man, Evolution Style: Homo Habilis” after the following sentence? “As for OH 13, or “Cinderella” (that’s “Cindy” for short…) I have two photos so you can see how the diagrams we often come across compare to the actual remnants they are supposed to represent”.
With Francisco Ayala, I am writing a book on human evolution. The picture would be of great interest as an illustration to include in it.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Best wishes,
    Camilo Cela-Conde

    Ciao Camilo,

As you may have figured out the first link posted just below the picture was the immediate source of the photos, a person named Goehring on a website now disappered.

It’s funny you ask because many of the pictures I linked to on that page (and several of the sections before and after) have since been “relocated” or otherwise removed.
The possibility of this was also the reason why I saved most of them locally.

If you are concerned about the veracity of the depiction there are many more pairs you can make on your own using their catalog numbers.

If attribution is the problem, maybe a search on “human fossils OH13” will can turn up the original photos used in the collage.

Sorry I can’t be more help, I wish you luck in your endeavor.

    Best,

    AC
